實用英語 聽到什么風(fēng)聲In the wind

聽到了什么風(fēng)聲，意思是什么事?lián)�傳說可能即將發(fā)生；英文里也有一個與此相似的詞組，也叫做in the wind。

　　例如： Changes in top management of the company have been in the wind for weeks. 幾周來人們一直在傳說，公司上層即將進行改組。

　　再如： Tom’s close friends knew that marriage was in the wind. 湯姆的好朋友都知道湯姆很快就要結(jié)婚了。

　　英文中還有一個與in the wind 極相似的詞組，即in the air。如何區(qū)分這兩個詞組的不同和用法呢？ In the air 也是指流傳的，懸而未決的，意思是某件事總是在人的腦海里縈回不去，而且一般來說是件肯定會發(fā)生的事，不像in the wind 所指的事那樣只是傳聞而已。
