Party用語學生：Drew，你喜歡聚會嗎？ Student： Drew.Do you like going to parties？
老師：是的，我朋友說我是聚會迷
Teacher：Yes .My friends say I'm a real party animal.
學生：你們國家里聚會是什么樣子的？
Student：What's the party like in your country？
老師：你知道，在加拿大，啤酒是很貴的，所以，通常我們都自帶酒，這叫BYOB聚會，我們也玩兒一些游戲，有時會玩得很瘋。
Teacher： Well，you know，Cause beer is very expensive in Canada.We always bring our own beer. It's called BYOB party，and we play drinking games，sometimes it's really crazy.
學生：你們聚會時都干些什么？喝酒嗎？
Student：What do you do at parties， drinking？
老師：當然，我們喝酒，跳舞，泡妞，開心—
Teacher：Yeah，we drink， dance， pick up hot chicks and have fun.
學生：Hot chick是什么意思？
Student：Hot chic
老師：漂亮姑娘。
Teacher：That means beautiful girls.
學生：校園里有很多聚會嗎？
Student：Are there lots of parties on campus？
老師：是啊，我們經(jīng)常考試后聚一聚，你知道我們需要放松，因此就去泡吧。
Teacher：Yeah.We would party after exams.You know we need to relax. So we hit the bars.
學生：Hit是什么意思？
Student：Hit？
老師：噢，Hit在這里不是指打的意思，Hit the bar表示我們列一張酒吧的單子，然后挨個去逛。
Teacher：Oh！ Hit the bars doesn't mean we hit them.It means we make a list of bars and go around them.
學生：噢，謝謝。
Student：Oh. Thanks.
老師：沒問題。
Teacher：You're welcome.
1.BYOB是英語Bring Your Own Beer的首字母縮寫。由于國外的酒很貴（4到5美元或加元），因此人們會自帶酒水，在國外外時可要當心，別輕易向別人要煙或酒，弄不好就會被別人當成Social smoker或Social drinker，就是那些自己不帶煙或不買酒，卻總是向別人要的那種人。
