Nathan：慧慧, In today’s sports review, let’s talk about the “awards”!

　　慧慧：今天的話題是Awards？頒獎？

　　Nathan：Yeah, there are millions of Awards all over the world, 慧慧，You should know the Academy Awards in movie industry。

　　慧慧：Academy Awards學(xué)院獎？不知道，我只知道Oscar Awards，奧斯卡獎。

　　Nathan：哈哈，They are the same, Oscar is the nickname of the Academy Awards.

　　慧慧：兩個名字說的都是奧斯卡獎啊！Nathan，這是怎么回事？

　　Nathan：Ok, 據(jù)說，很久以前A librarian called Margaret Herrick said that the Oscar statuette looked like her Uncle Oscar. 慢慢的，這個說法叫開了。原來的正式名稱反而沒人說了。

　　慧慧：哦，怪不得大家經(jīng)常要說奧斯卡大叔呢！哎，Nathan，怎么說到電影上了，還是說說體育界的Awards吧。

　　Nathan：No problem。我們今天要說的是ATP Awards. 男子職業(yè)網(wǎng)壇年度最佳頒獎。Let’s take a look.

　　In March 24th，2004, the 2003 ATP award winners were announced at the NASDAQ-100 Open in Miami. Gustavo Kuerten was recognized for his Humanitarian efforts while Paradorn Srichaphan earned his second consecutive Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award.

　　2004年3月24日，在納斯達(dá)克100公開賽前夕，ATP 宣布了2003年度的各項獲獎名單。

　　庫爾騰因為他的人道主義努力獲得承認(rèn)。斯里查潘則連續(xù)第二年獲得埃德博格體育精神獎。

　　Kuerten, the popular Brazilian nicknamed “Guga,” was named Arthur Ashe Humanitarian of the Year for his work on behalf of the needy.

　　被稱為“Guga”的巴西球員庫爾騰因為他為貧困者所作的貢獻(xiàn)，獲得了阿瑟阿什人道主義獎。

　　Thailand‘s Paradorn Srichaphan was acknowledged for his outstanding sportsmanship by his fellow players.

　　Srichaphan became the first Asian-born player in history to reach the Top 10 of the ATP Entry Ranking.

　　泰國球員斯里查潘出眾的體育精神被ATP球員所承認(rèn)。他是第一個ATP排名前十位的亞洲球員。
