Call back the answers from the whole class as complete sentences. Cultural Corner We have learnt a fantasy story called The Cat That Vanished. Now we will learn another famous fantasy story----The Lord of the Rings. Ask students to close their book and listen to the tape. Then offer the questions on the screen for them to answe. (1) When did the story happen? (2) Why is the Ring important to the story? (3) How did the story end? Ask students to read the passage fast and find the topic sentence of each paragragh. Writing Read the start of a fantasy story: A young man was walking through a wood when he saw a ring lying on the ground. He discovered that when he put the ring on his finger, he disappeared. When he took the ring off, you could see him… Now continue writing the story.
