電話面試技巧
在電話面試之前，學(xué)校會事先用e-mail和你確定時間，你應(yīng)該準(zhǔn)備充分，但不要忘了中美之間的時差，準(zhǔn)確計算好時間，即使教授遲到也要耐心等待。面試中的主要問題大多有關(guān)研究興趣（research interest），研究背景（research background），教學(xué)經(jīng)驗（teaching experience），所學(xué)課程的名稱（the names of your courses），個人興趣�。╥ndividual interests）等等。
How to prepare telephone interview?
把教授可能提的問題列出來，并寫出答案，反復(fù)練習(xí)。可以找個老外請教，他可能會給你出謀劃策，也幫你練練口語。多準(zhǔn)備一些專業(yè)問題。一般申請RA，肯定會問一些專業(yè)問題，如要求的一些基礎(chǔ)理論和基本技術(shù)，以及具體的技術(shù)。另外需準(zhǔn)備一些向教授的提問，例如該學(xué)校的氣候（climate），生活環(huán)境（living environment），學(xué)費（tuition）和獎學(xué)金的數(shù)量（the amount of scholarship）等等�？傊疁�(zhǔn)備一定要充分。
How to conduct an interview?
在面試之前，一定要放松，充滿自信但要禮貌，記住，是他們想要你。并且一般interview之前offer差不多都決定了。如果在面試中你有一些問題不懂，可以用忘了詞匯來解釋。如： Question: What method you learn on optimization? Answer: NEWTON，and some others I do not know how to pronounce.
在面試過程中不要機(jī)械地背誦你所準(zhǔn)備的材料，只放在手邊作為參考。說英語時盡量慢，你是中國學(xué)生，只要說清楚就行了，快了反而會弄巧成拙。當(dāng)然如果你的英語極好就另當(dāng)別論了。假如面試開始時你聽不懂或聽不清教授的問題，你可以問： Please speak loudly because my phoneline is not clear. 教授就會說得更大聲、更慢。準(zhǔn)備一些歡迎和感謝的客套話，但盡量顯得不卑不亢。例如： I do appreciate that you give me such a good chance to talk to you. Thank you for your calling!
