【析句】復合句中，主句是facts about the world are waiting to be observed and collected……，主句中包含who引導的定語從句who use the scientific method……修飾objective researchers.in the idealized version of how science is done作地點狀語從句，從句中又包含how引導的賓語從句，與of構成介賓結構。

2. 【析句】多重復合句，由多個分句組成，每個分句都有獨立的主謂賓結構。第一個分句 researchers make discoveries，第二個分句 editors and reviewers act as…，第三個分句other scientists use the new finding，最后一個分句the public receives the discovery……。

3. Not surprisingly， newly published discovery claims and credible discoveries that appear to be important and convincing will always be open to challenge and potential modification or refutation by future researchers. （2012. 閱讀。 Text 3）

【譯文】新發(fā)表的那些發(fā)現(xiàn)聲明，以及看似重要且有說服力的可信發(fā)現(xiàn)總是會受到后來研究者的挑戰(zhàn)，并可能被修改或駁斥，這不足為奇。

【析句】復合句的主句是newly published discovery claims and credible discoveries will always be open to challenge and potential modification or reputation.其中，主語為兩個并列的名詞短語discovery claims and credible discoveries，discoveries有that引導的定語從句修飾。
