2016考研英語(yǔ)翻譯 精彩例句解析

句子一：
When reports came into London Zoo that a wild puma had been spotted forty-five miles south of London， they were not taken seriously.當(dāng)有報(bào)道進(jìn)入倫敦公園，that是report的定語(yǔ)從句，也就是解釋report的內(nèi)容，是說(shuō)有一只野生美洲獅在距離倫敦以南45英里的地方被發(fā)現(xiàn)了。had been spotted是個(gè)被動(dòng)語(yǔ)態(tài)；后邊they，指代復(fù)數(shù)名詞，前半句只有reports，這些報(bào)道并沒(méi)有得到嚴(yán)肅對(duì)待。
句子二：
However， as the evidence began to accumulate， experts from the Zoo felt obliged to investigate， for the deions given by people who claimed to have seen the puma were extraordinarily similar.2.for表原因，因?yàn)椤or后邊的句子主語(yǔ)是deions，謂語(yǔ)是were similar.given by people過(guò)去分詞作定語(yǔ)修飾deion，由誰(shuí)給出的這一描述；who引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句修飾people，聲稱看見(jiàn)過(guò)美洲豹的人。這一描述（跟報(bào)道）驚人的一致。
句子三：
Nowhere do 1980 census statistics dramatize more the American search for spacious living than in the Far West.該句是倒裝句，把nowhere提前引起部分倒裝，原型是：1980 census statistics dramatize more the American search for spacious living nowhere than in the Far West.nowhere ……than譯為“除了……沒(méi)有其他地方”譯為：1980年的美國(guó)人口統(tǒng)計(jì)更能顯示出，美國(guó)人遷往遙遠(yuǎn)的西部（而不是其他地方）是為了尋找廣闊的生活空間。在部分倒裝里，do做助動(dòng)詞置于主語(yǔ)前；more是比較級(jí)的用法。
句子四：
Critics also argue that commercial genetic testing is only as good as the reference collection to which a sample is compared.第一句話，critics是主語(yǔ)argue是謂語(yǔ)，that后面是賓語(yǔ)從句，然后to which引導(dǎo)的是修飾collections的定語(yǔ)從句，因?yàn)閏ompare的固定用法是compare to/with sth，在which引導(dǎo)從句時(shí)候compare后面的to提到了which前面。評(píng)論家也指出商業(yè)的基因檢測(cè)僅僅和類(lèi)似作為樣本的參考搜集一樣。
句子五：
But because hard laughter is difficult to __4__， a good laugh is unlikely to have __5___ benefits the way， say， walking or jogging does.Because引導(dǎo)原因狀語(yǔ)從句，后邊是主句，不好理解的可能是way后邊的成分，the way做方式狀語(yǔ)，does代替have measurable benefits.這句話是說(shuō)因?yàn)閺?qiáng)笑很難保持，所以不可能以衡量散步或慢跑好處的方式來(lái)衡量大笑帶來(lái)的好處。
