事實上大學(xué)的生活和畢業(yè)后的工作往往會使我們大失所望。尤其在當(dāng)今激烈的社會競爭
中，大學(xué)畢業(yè)生要想找到一份滿意的工作也不太容易。在我看來，大學(xué)為人們提供了良好的學(xué)

Why do We Attend University?
Considering why we should attend universities, different people may have different
ideas. Some students want to go to college for the construction of our country. Other
students believe they are bound to find a better job with college education. Meanwhile,
there are also some students who are forced to attend university by their parents.
Actually, life in the colleges and jobs we can find after graduate are usually quite to
our disappointment. Especially under the severe competition of today's society, it is not
very easy for a college graduate to find a satisfying job. So far as I am concerned,
universities can provide good study opportunities and essential facilities. As a student,
We should take full advantage of these things to have enough preparation for our future.
I believe this should be the main reason why we go to college.
Though our reasons for going to college differ from each other, I think the most
important thing is to cherish this good study opportunity, never wasting the time.
2．金錢能買到幸福嗎？
現(xiàn)在，社會上有許多人認(rèn)為，他們擁有的錢越多，能夠得到的幸福就越多。因此，他們
想方設(shè)法去賺錢，甚至不惜違背法律。
但是，在我看來，最大的幸福在于人們對其周圍環(huán)境的滿意程度。只要我們擁有一個愉
悅的心情，我們就會幸福。這和我們有多少錢并沒有關(guān)系。社會上有許多有錢人，但是他們中
有很多人并沒能享受到真正的幸福；相反許多貧窮的家庭卻過著幸福的生活。
因此，人們不應(yīng)該太看重錢，相反，他們應(yīng)該做得是把錢用在正道上。最重要的是，人
們應(yīng)該保持樂觀的心態(tài)使自己永遠(yuǎn)快樂。
Can Money Buy Happiness?
Nowadays, a lot of people in the society think the more money they have, the
more happiness they will obtain. As a result, they will try their best to get money, even
without considering the law.
But in my view, the greatest happiness lies in one's satisfaction with his
surroundings. So long as we have a happy heart to face everything, we can be happy. It
has nothing to do with the amount of money we have. As we can see in the real society,
there are far too many rich people, but lots of them can not enjoy the real happiness.
However, many poor families are leading a satisfying life.
Therefore, people shouldn't pay too much attention to the money. On the contrary,
what they should do is to put their money to the right use. Above all, they should try to
have an optimistic mind to make them happy all the time.

3. 誠實過時了嗎？
大多數(shù)中國人對于“狼來了”的故事都十分熟悉。我們從小便被告之要誠實待人。
然而，在我們成長的過程中，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)要想做到永遠(yuǎn)誠實實在是非常困難。有時，我們
被迫去撒謊。還有些時候，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)不誠實的人得到了利益而誠實的人得到的卻是失敗。而且
某些時候為了不傷害他人我們不得不撒謊。因此，人們在困惑誠實是否已經(jīng)過時了。
在我看來，誠實應(yīng)該成為中國人所推崇的一種品格。我們應(yīng)該盡量避免撒謊（即使是善
意的謊言）。只有這樣, 我們才能迎來一個純潔的社會。
Is Honesty Going out of Style?
To most Chinese people, we are quite familiar with the story of three Cries for
Wolves? We have been taught to be honest when we are very young.
However, as we grow up, we find that it is difficult to be honest all the time.
Sometimes, we are forced to tell lies. Other times, we find people who are dishonest can
enjoy great pleasure while honest people have to suffer failures. And still there are times
when we have to tell lies in order not to hurt others. Consequently, people are wondering
whether honesty is going out of style.
As far as I am concerned, honesty should always be an important character
valued by our Chinese. We should try our best to avoid telling lies (even white lies).
Only by this, is a clean society awaiting us.
4. 論娛樂
如果我們不參加各種娛樂活動的話，要保持身體健康是不可能的。一個不會娛樂的人必定不會很好地工作。
工作之余，我們可以參加各種各樣的活動。許多人喜歡工作、工作再工作，因為他們認(rèn)為工作是最重要的事。但是這樣的話，在辦公室里坐的時間過久，我們的眼睛和大腦都很容易疲勞，即使聽音樂、看電視或者看電影也無濟(jì)于事。因此我認(rèn)為最好多參加戶外活動，以使我們的肌肉得到鍛煉。比如說：打籃球、踢足球、打乒乓球、游泳、跑步等等都不失為好主意，甚至去野餐也可以。
我們的大腦需要經(jīng)�；顒硬拍鼙３朱`敏、活躍。請牢牢記住那句古老的諺語：“只工作不會玩，聰明的孩子也會變傻”。只有適度娛樂，一個人才能有很美好的生活。
On Recreation
It is impossible for us to keep fit unless we often take part in activities of recreation. One can not work well if he can not get an active recreation.
There are various kinds of games in our daily life after work. Many people like working and working, because in their mind working is the most important thing. But we usually sit too long in our office, and it is easy for our eyes and brain to get tired even when listening to music, watching TV or going to the cinema. So I think we had better have more outdoor activities to supply our muscles with exercise. For example, it is a good idea to play basketball, football, table tennis, go swimming and do some running, even go for a picnic.
Our brain also need changes to make it smart and active. Please bear the old saying in mind: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Only by taking proper entertainment, can one have a wonderful life.
5. 我對限放鞭炮的看法
我們許多人腦海里仍然保留著這個美好的記憶:童年時的春節(jié)是在鞭炮閃閃的火花和轟隆隆的爆炸聲中度過的。
但是由于鞭炮帶來了一些災(zāi)難，許多大城市對于城區(qū)燃放鞭炮做出了嚴(yán)格的限制。對于這個決定，有的人非常難過。他們認(rèn)為這樣會失去傳統(tǒng)節(jié)日的風(fēng)味。他們不考慮鞭炮所帶來的火災(zāi)和對人體的傷害，一味地強(qiáng)調(diào)鞭炮所帶來的樂趣。
隨著現(xiàn)代社會的發(fā)展，我們的生活會發(fā)生越來越多的變化。有些變化對我們的傳統(tǒng)提出了挑戰(zhàn)。但是，我們應(yīng)支持政府出于全社會利益而制定的政策。并且，在步入新世紀(jì)之際，我們應(yīng)該采取更加文明的方式來慶祝節(jié)日。

My Views on the Control on Firecrackers(鞭炮)
Most of us may still hold a happy memory in our minds. When we were young, the Spring Festival was celebrated with the company of the flaming sparks and the loud explosions of firecrackers.
But because of the numerous disasters caused by them, governments in some big cities have made very severe control on the firecrackers in the downtown areas. Some people are sad about this decision. They argue that they will lose the flavor of some traditional festivals. Regardless of the fires and the damages on human bodies caused by firecrackers, they only focus on the pleasure firecrackers can bring about.
With the development of the modern society, more and more changes will take place in our lives. Some of the changes may be great challenges against the traditions. Yet we should support the government's policy under the consideration of the whole society. What's more, we should take some more civilized way to celebrate holidays upon stepping into the new century.
6. 課外上網(wǎng)的利弊
隨著電腦技術(shù)的發(fā)展，互聯(lián)網(wǎng)已經(jīng)越來越受到大家的歡迎。
對于學(xué)生是否應(yīng)該在課外時間上網(wǎng)，大家意見各異。一些學(xué)生認(rèn)為使用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)有益處。主要原因有以下幾點：第一，互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上信息資源豐富，因此你不必花費大量的時間在圖書館就可以搜索到你所需要的信息。而且，使用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)和其他人交往也很方便。
然而，另外一些學(xué)生認(rèn)為使用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)有弊端，因為網(wǎng)上也有對學(xué)生不好的信息。還有，花費過多的時間沉迷于網(wǎng)絡(luò)游戲不僅會對學(xué)生的學(xué)業(yè)產(chǎn)生不良影響而且對健康也有壞處。
因此，我們應(yīng)該正確使用互聯(lián)網(wǎng)。對我們來說，（能夠）從雜草中區(qū)分出禾苗來是非常重要的。
The Advantages and Disadvantages of Surfing the Internet

8．談節(jié)約
大家都知道，當(dāng)高中生畢業(yè)的時候，他們的資料還有課本大部分都扔掉了，其中好多都還可以用。這是多大的浪費呀！
我建議我們應(yīng)該回收這些書。一方面，回收這些書可以節(jié)約很多自然資源，這些資源可以被用來制作新的課本。另一方面，高中生很可能在書頁上做了很多筆記，這些筆記對后來的使用者會很有幫助的。
目前，我們都在號召建立節(jié)約型社會。我認(rèn)為這對我們國家的長遠(yuǎn)利益具有相當(dāng)?shù)囊饬x。事實上，在澳大利亞和其它一些國家，回收課本已經(jīng)很流行了，這給我們樹立了一個很好的榜樣。
On saving (S1)As we know, when senior students graduate from school, most of their reference books (as well as textbooks), which are still in good condition are thrown away. (S2)What a great waste it is! (S3)I suggest that we should recycle these books. (S4)On the one hand, recycling them can save a lot of natural resources, which can be reused to make textbooks. (S5)On the other hand, senior students may have made plenty of useful notes on the pages. (S6) They are very helpful to the following users. (S7)At present, the whole nation is called on to build an energy-saving society. (S8)I think it's certainly meaningful to our long-term interests. (S9)In fact, in Australia and some other countries, recycling textbooks is popular, which gives us a good example.
9. 關(guān)于“超級女聲”
最近，我們班就這幾年持續(xù)火爆的“超級女聲”現(xiàn)象進(jìn)行了一場討論。對此現(xiàn)象同學(xué)們持有不同觀點。
62%的同學(xué)支持這個觀點。他們認(rèn)為這可以為有歌唱才華的女孩子提供展示自我的機(jī)會；還有，借此也可以讓新歌手得到鍛煉和培養(yǎng)，促進(jìn)音樂的發(fā)展；而且，還可以增強(qiáng)她們的競爭意識。
然而，38% 的同學(xué)對此觀點持反對態(tài)度。他們認(rèn)為許多學(xué)生因比賽而花費大量時間和精力，一些學(xué)生甚至產(chǎn)生一夜成名的想法，不集中精力學(xué)習(xí)；更糟糕的是，這還誤導(dǎo)某些學(xué)生盲目崇拜偶像。
