Mark Twains short story of "one million pounds" is a very good work. The article on the "money is everything," "money is omnipotent," the idea of asatire, to expose the ugly face of capitalist society.

"One million pounds" is about a poor, honest man, that is, the heroine of this story has received a pair of brothers, the letter sent to him inside one million pounds. The brothers had made a bet, gambling, if a poor, honest people who come knocking on the door received the one million pounds, he will be what kind of results? Brother that he would starve to death because he could not prove that the money was his own, will be subject to other peoples doubts, and even the banks do not let him save money. His younger brother that he would lead a very good, and therefore they have the brothers of one million pounds will be loaned to check the poorest people, and spent 30 days abroad.

Did not expect that during this period of time, people have the rare fortune suddenly rich, has tried to cozy up to him, from the free food, buy clothes, free accommodation, like a beggar, like to please him, and continue to improve his social status until the exception of the highest outdoor Wang Duke on! Not only that, he also has been a good wife and 30,000 pounds of bank interest, and finally from two brothers got a very good job. Lived a very, very happy life.

See here, I am so envious of the "lucky" the heroine, but at the same time I would like to: people reason to curry favor with him, not just because when people value money too it? Worship of money is shameful and should not be reaping more! Money is not omnipotent, the world than money, there are many more important things.

Based on Mark Twains novel, The Millionaire Pound Note takes an interesting satirical look at the hypocrisy stemming from class distinction in the 50s England. England is a country where class and wealth are given extreme significance, especially among the rich. The film shows the hypocrisy that existed among these people, how the rich are quick to change face when in an instant they find out that youre a man of wealth and how within the next moment they revert back to their condescending selves when all wealth is lost. Interestingly, The Millionaire also briefly looks at how the English perceived Americans in that era. Rich Americans were weled as outsiders and the poor were quickly shunned away.

The fact that hes an outsider either makes him more appealing or the plete opposite. The story sticks to the main theme by emphasizing on the hypocrisy of the upper class society but at the same time it also creates a balance that prevents the movie from being a mockery of the British society. The movie drags at some point but the love story appears at the right time and there is plenty of edy to keep one entertained. A charming Gregory Peck totally nails the part and the luminous Jane Griffiths is a treat. Reginald Beckwith, as Pecks sidekick Rock is amusing. The ending is a little predictable but the director does an overall good job by rounding it up and presenting his points.

After reading the book "Million Millions", I feel a lot. This book tells a man who accidentally received a million pounds and then respects his legendary experience from a beggar to everyone.

The author of this book is very humorous. The beggar got a million pounds because two people bet to see if that person could survive without spending a penny a month after becoming a rich man. As a result, that person has wanted to stifle him when he was annoying before. He went to the restaurant to eat, but he had n’t waited to pay for it. The boss would like to give him the restaurant to buy clothes, because the boss could n’t find the money, the boss gave him a lot of clothes, and the restaurant he went to caught fire overnight. .

Within a month, the man was on an equal footing with the royal aristocracy, and even many counts respected him. As a result, a month later, the person was fine without spending a penny.

After reading this book, I understand how many people in the world are sleek. If not, then why is that person used to be popular but now respected, so I hope that there will be no such people in the world, After all, there are more people with a sense of justice in the world.

My Impressions after Reading" The Million Pound Note”.

This time I want to talk about a very famous short story written by Mark Twain——“The Million Pound Note”. Referring to Mark Twain, you must feel familiar, because we must have read his works before. I still remember the article “ The Bite Events on the Train” in our textbook when I’m in the middle school. What touched me most at that time were his ironic words. Yes, he is a great humorist, novelist, writer and orator in America in nineteenth century. During his 40 years’ writing career, he created dozens of short or long stories, among which “The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn” is of the most popularity, which was praised by Hemingway as “the first real American literature”. But today I am introducing his another work——The Million Pound Note.

This story tells about a poor but honest American Adam Henry. When he was wandering in the street of London, he was given by two billionaires a letter, in which he surprisedly found a £1,000,000 pound bank-note. Later he got to know that the two billionaires who were brothers had made a bet about the results after he got a one million-pound note at once. One of them thought the note wound count for nothing to the poor man because he could not prove that the money was his own while the other considered just as the opposite. Dramatically, the plot went just out of my expectation. Herry went to a restaurant to have dinner first. The manager was mean to him at the beginning but his attitude changed quickly when Herry took out the note and asked for change. Faced with a millionaire, the manager apologized again and again and obsequiously told Herry that he didn’t need to pay for the bill right now. So Herry managed to have a free dinner.

Then similarly, Herry went to a clothing shop and got a suit of clothes costing him nothing. Like the plot above, people are curious of such a rich man and tried every means to cozy up to him, from free food, free clothes to free accommodation. At the same time, his social status was becoming higher and higher and finally higher than most dukes. Apart from that, he later got a beautiful wife and 200,000 pounds of bank interest. I can imagine a bright future was waiting for him. The writing style of this story is so humorous. Mark Twain used hyperbole describing how our hero defeated snobbishness repeatedly. What I appreciate most is the detailed description of different people’s ridiculous actions before one million pounds, vivid, funny, ironic and humorous, which forms a Caricature. In terms of the theme, it is apparent that the author wanted to denounce the overflowing mammonism in the society. Even now it gives us an impressive lesson. Yes, I cannot deny the importance of money to a person who wants to survive. We won’t live without money, with which we get food, clothes, house and many other Necessities.

But we must know that there are many things which can’t be bought with money such as love or friendship. So in my opinion, money may be important to us, but not the most important. We need to build up the correct sense of money. Another point I want to emphasize is honesty. From the plot, we can see that there were so many people the brothers could choose, so why just Herry? I think it was because he was honest. When he got the note, what he did wasn’t use it right now but return it to the brothers. Without a kind and honest heart, Herry couldn’t have been such a successful man.

There are various of tempertation alluring us in our life, Only by keeping honesty and consciousness inside can we manage to resist them. To sum up, this story is a really good work of Mark Twain. The lesson I’ve learnt from it makes me want to be an honest man sincerely and lets me not to worship money too much. I begin to regret not reading it earlier.

See here, I am very envious of this so lucky the hero, but I want to: people reason to please him, because it was not that people are reading too much money to it? Worship of money is shameful, and something for nothing we should not! Money is not a panacea, in the world there are many more important things than money .

Mark Twain"s short story with one million pounds is a very good work. Article on the money is everything Money is omnipotent, the ideas of irony, exposed the ugly face of capitalist society.

Millions of pounds refers to a poor, honest man, that is, the hero of this story has received a pair of brothers, a letter which gave him one million pounds. It turns out that the brothers played a bet, gambling, if a poor, honest man knocking on the door of one million pounds received, he will be what results? His brother that he would starve to death because he could not prove that the money was his own, will be someone else"s question, even the banks do not let him save. Little brother that he would be getting along very well, so they are brothers to one million pounds to lend a check of this poor people, and spent 30 days abroad.

Did not expect at this time, people have the rare sudden riches millionaire, went so far as hard to win over him, from free to eat, buy clothes, to free accommodation, one by one like a beggar, like to please him, and continue to improve his social status, it was only in addition to Wang"s highest outdoor Duke on! Not only that, he also got a good wife and ? 30,000 in bank interest, and finally from two brothers, there has been a very good job. Lived a very, very happy life.

This summer, I read the million pounds this book, although I understand the money is not everything, but the money can let many people to the rich bow, they to the pound, tried to woo the hero of the story -- Henry Adams, for the sake of this piece of the pound, from Henry arrogant suddenly transform to bow to him, this kind of behavior is very shameful.

This story tells the story of the hero accidentally accidentally drifting to London, London"s two billionaire brothers made a bet. Elder brother think if you give him a $one million pounds, 30 days later he will be unable to prove that the money is his own and starved to death, and the younger brother is think he will live very well. So they gave a piece of millions of pounds to Henry, their two people to travel abroad for 30 days. Came back and told Henry that piece because millions of pounds by all people, to bring him, and almost all things are to let him free to buy. And because of this piece of pounds to improve social status, and finally arrived in addition to the royal family of the supremacy of the duke of, is married to a beautiful wife, received thirty thousand yuan bank interest. And got good jobs from brother, lived a happy life.

I"ve realized people for the money, try very hard to bring one person, to the bow, and all aspects from obedience to him and arranged everything in place, just for the money. To have no money people, rude, arrogant to the rich people, honestly.

It makes me feel very angry, everything should be equal, and these people have only value money, as long as the rich man will treat him very well, but have no money will be arrogant rude. Everyone is equal the reasonable use where go to? In our life, but also often have such a thing, everyone cried out, should be equal, but see the rich man, but the lack of one by one all, just want to get more money, earn a little more, I don"t think this is a very vital qi, I hope everyone can, put the correct injustices in the city!

The guy put on a very mean face and said, "ah, really? Well, of course, I didnt expect you to have any change. I think a rich man like you will only bring big bills. " This made me angry, so I said, "my friend, dont judge a stranger by his clothes and hats alone. I can afford this suit, but I dont want to embarrass you. Im afraid you cant change a big bill

This is the highlight of the million pounds. At that time, the shop assistant scorned and ridiculed the tramp Adams, and then saw the surprise expression of a million pounds, which was described by the author. I was deeply attracted by the humorous story.

This book is the classic of Mark Twain of America. The book tells about a clerk of a mining agent who lost his way in sailing a yacht too far away. He was rescued by a double masted sailing ship bound for London, and used it as a sailor to pay for his journey. After arriving in London, he was still penniless. At this time, an old gentleman, calling him and giving him a letter, told him to leave (liuxuue86. Com). He came to a small restaurant and opened the letter. He was almost stunned by the contents of the letter! There was a one million pound note in it! So, overnight, he became a household name. In London, everyone knew him. At a dinner party, he fell in love with an English girl named Portia longham and married her. After that, he knew that the old gentleman who gave him money was her adoptive father. At his wedding ceremony with Portia, the old gentleman gave him the one million pound note as a gift, and he also found a good job.

This book satirizes some people who cant resist the temptation of money. They think that money is omnipotent. In reality, I think money is absolutely not omnipotent. The theory of money omnipotence is very wrong. Money can buy a bed, but not sleep; money can buy food, but not taste; money can buy books, but not knowledge Money can really satisfy peoples vanity, but these are all false, and the most real thing is peoples magnanimous life. Like Adams, he lost his money, but he still lives an optimistic life. What we need to do is to treat our life with a calm heart. We should strive for our own life by ourselves. There is no free lunch in the world, only the hardworking people will have harvest. Even if youre rich, its not sure youll get everything you want.

Com)。

During the holiday, I read Mark Twains short story million pounds. The article satirized the idea that "money is everything" and "money is omnipotent", exposing the ugly face of capitalist society.

"Million pounds" is about a poor, honest man, that is, the protagonist of the story received a letter from a pair of brothers, which gave him a million pounds. It turned out that the two brothers made a bet on what would happen if a poor and honest man received a million pounds from the sky? He thought he would starve to death, because he could not prove that the money was his own, and would be suspected by others. Even the bank would not let him save money. The younger brother thought he would be fine, so the two brothers lent the poor man a check for one million pounds and stayed abroad for 30 days.

People tried their best to win over this rare rich man who suddenly became rich. From free meals, clothes and accommodation, they flattered him like a beggar and kept improving his social status until he was on the top of the highest Duke outside the kings room. Not only that, he also got a good wife and bank interest of 30000 pounds, and finally from his two brothers A good job. Living a very, very happy life.

Seeing this, I envy this "lucky" hero, but at the same time, I think: the reason why people please him is that people value money too much?

The language of the article is very humorous. When the author narrates, he does not forget to be humorous, so that the readers can read it carefully and appreciate it slowly. Especially when people who flatter the rich see a million pound check, it can be described as "lifelike", which makes people laugh.

This book makes me feel that money worship is shameful, and nothing should be done for nothing, because there are many things in the world that money cant measure, and there are many things more important than money in the world.

“money is everything,” “money is omnipotent,” the idea of a satire, to expose the ugly face of capitalist society.

“One million pounds” is about a poor, honest man, that is, the heroine of this story has received a pair of brothers, the letter sent to him inside one million pounds.

See here, I am so envious of the “l(fā)ucky” the heroine, but at the same time I would like to: people reason to curry favor with him, not just because when people value money too it?

I knew Mark Twain when i was a middle school student. In my memory, there is an article in my English textbook that written by him. At that time, I pay no attention to Mark Twain. However, i knew more about him after I learned the History and Anthology of American Literature, he appeals to me dearly and deeply. As a result, I read a part of his novels in part time. Here I will introduce Million Pounds to you. Before that, I will give some information about Mark Twain to you. And last, it comes my though.

Samuel Langhorne Clemens (November 30, 1835 ndash; April 21, 1910) was an American humorist, satirist, lecturer and writer, better known by the pen name Mark Twain. He was born in Florida, Missouri and brought up in Hannibal, Missouri. After his father"s death in 1847, he was apprenticed to a printer and wrote for his brother"s newspaper. He later worked as a licensed Mississippi river-boat pilot. The Civil War put an end to the steamboat traffic and Clemens moved to Virginia City, where he edited the Territorial Enterprise. On February 3, 1863, "Mark Twain" was born when Clemens signed a humorous travel account with that pseudonym. He often uses exaggerated ways to show his irony.

Mark Twain is most noted for his novels Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. He is also known for his quotations. During his life, Clemens became a friend to presidents, artists, leading industrialists and European royalty. For I love the One Million Pounds Note best, I would introduce it to you.

On the contrary, the younger brother believes that he would live in a very good life. So the brothers lend the one million pounds to Henry Adams, and spent 30 days abroad. From then on, Henry Adams becomes a bright focus of the money-priority society. Later, the lucky young man experiences two sharply different treatments in the tailor shop. In the ball, people from every social class try every chance to show their friendship and flattery to the new millionaire. Adams never has the chance to spend a penny because no one can change the million and he is soon living in a luxurious hotel suite, wearing expensive suits. No one asks him to pay bill, these are forwarded for later payment. He even gets the chance to go to the Party that held by Duke. Fortunately, Henry meets Jane Griffiths and fall in love with this beautiful woman. He also comes across his good friend. The man gives him some advice to earn money. 30 days has passed, Henry Adams asks his girlfriend company him to meet the brothers. Out of his expectation, his girlfriend is the daughter of one of the brothers. And finally he got a very good job from the brother. And he lived a very happy life.

Millions of pounds, these four words sound unreachable, and some people are very eager to get him. After reading this book, no one will think so.

The story takes place in early 20th century England, where a poor man named Henry from the United States received a million pound check - it turned out that a pair of wealthy brothers were betting, and what would happen if a poor person had a million pound check?

In the past, Henry would be looked down upon by people for his shabby clothes no matter what he went to eat or bought clothes for. But when he took out this bill, people not only paid him a lot of attention, but even some expenses could be reduced, but no one could give a million dollar bill change.

Henrys debts are increasing. Gradually, debt seekers crowded the restaurant... Fortunately, the one month deadline finally arrived, and Adam was relieved to return the check to the wealthy brothers. Henry was already tired of peoples pursuit of money. Although he lost money, he gained a lot.

After reading the article, like the hero of the story, I was disgusted with those Money worship. In their eyes, money is everything. But they dont understand that there are many things that money cannot buy: noble qualities, ones own health, family happiness

This story also reveals the ugly faces of those Money worship who love money more than life. In daily life, they treat the poor and those beggars who wander the streets with disdain and indifference; And treat those who have money. They always flatter like pugs. It seems that in their eyes, as long as they have money, they can turn black into white, ugly into beautiful, wrong into right, and lowly into noble

Finally, I would like to remind everyone not to be misled by the surface of money. What we need most is a higher and better moral spirit.

Today, I read the article Million Pounds. It tells the story of a young and honest young man who, by chance, received a check for one million pounds. When other people learned about this news, they desperately tried to persuade him to give themselves some money. So many people flattered her, giving him power and status back to his beautiful girl.

This is the magic of money, where we can experience peoples greed and love for money. Moreover, in order to get money, some people even use robbery, fraud, and theft to get money! However, even if they receive this money, in the end, they will still be chased by the police and sentenced to death.

So, its better for us to be a down-to-earth person, wholeheartedly do our current job, use our hard work and sweat to create a family and generate wealth!

If our money is stolen, picked up, or robbed, can you use this "dirty" money with peace of mind? Only money exchanged with sweat is "fair and square", and only we can spend this money with peace of mind!

I hope everyone can earn their own money and do their own things. They must not be captivated by the "Great Demon King" of money, or even take risks and embark on the path of crime. Because everything has two sides, one should not always think about the benefits of money, but also be careful of the traps of money.

I should read to become rich, because knowledge is wealth. Knowledge creates the world, so as long as you study hard, not only will you have money, but you will also have the whole world, right?

In addition to giving me inspiration, Million Pounds is also a very interesting story!

During my free time during the summer vacation, I read the classic work "Million Pounds" by Mark Twain from the United States. This work satirizes the idea that money is everything and exposes the ugly face of capitalism. I read it with great interest because the novel is not only humorous but also in line with social reality, and the content is also quite exciting.

The protagonist in the book, although poor, is very honest. One day, he suddenly received a letter containing one million pounds. Originally, a brother made a bet: what would be the fate of a very honest and poor outsider who fell to the streets of London with only one million pound bill? My brother thinks he will starve to death because he cannot prove that the money is his own; My younger brother holds the opposite view, believing that he will live well. So the brothers gave the poor young man a million pounds and went abroad for 30 days.

I didnt expect that in just 30 days, people would desperately woo this overnight millionaire, offering free accommodation, clothes, and meals, continuously improving his social status, and eventually becoming a duke! Not only that, he also got a good wife and a great job, leading a very happy life.

After reading this novel, I think the reason why people endlessly please the protagonist is because people valued money too much at that time? Concealing and contemplating, although money is important in reality, it is not omnipotent. Money can buy food, beds, and books, but it cannot buy health, time, happiness, or knowledge. Money can satisfy a persons vanity, but everything is empty. What we need to do is to be down-to-earth and face life and learning with an open heart!

Mark Twains short story "Million Pounds" is a satirical story about the idea that "money is everything" and "money is everything". Henry Adams, an impoverished American clerk, unexpectedly walked into a wealthy family in London. Two wealthy brothers in London made a bet and lent him a million pound note that could not be redeemed. See how he ends up within a month.

One million, where can the bosses find it! Willing to permanently owe him money, this strange and unfamiliar millionaire gradually became famous, met his fathers old friend, and made money with him.

In the days when he was making money, he fell in love with a girl named Bo Xia. Langham. Until the day of repayment, he went with Bo Xia to repay the money. The wealthy brother lost two million to his brother, and he told them a secret that he had earned "one million" this month. He had originally intended to hide it from Bo Xia and surprise her, but now its not too late to say so. When she left, Bo Xia gave the wealthy brother a kiss, and he realized that the girl was actually the daughter of the wealthy

Dont be fooled by money. If you receive benefits from others, dont blindly misuse them. Just like the "I" in the text, get benefits from others, save them, and return them. Its not yours, you borrowed them, and you cant be fooled by money!

Money is truly dazzling, may lead people astray, may catch them off guard, and often comes out when you need it the most. At that time, you should not lose honesty and reason.

Since reading the book Million Pounds, I have only realized how powerful the temptation of money is. It has taught me an important lesson. How many people have been caught up in this money storm, bound by money and unable to extricate themselves, even losing their lives in vain! I also learned how to use power to persuade others

"Millions of pounds" is an astronomical figure, which can make such a big change in front of others. These people can only show their respect when they see money. Yes, money can buy a lot of things, but it cant change affection, time, or anything precious!

When running for governor, people accused Mark Twain of being jealous of him for no reason, making him one criminal after another. But everyone knows that he is innocent, and in the pursuit of honor, they have laid a fierce hand! I feel ashamed of them. If everyone in the world lives under the temptation of money and the pursuit of honor, what would the world be like? It must be terrible. Everyone is so vulnerable

What impressed me the most was the person who ruined Heidelberg. Honesty was the most precious thing in that city, but he was being enveloped in a great conspiracy. Their honesty is as soft as cotton silk, so fragile. 19 first-class citizens bowed their heads at 40000 yuan. In the past few weeks, they have been in a state of despair, thinking about what kind of words it was. In court, 18 citizens fell from the citys point to the bottom, and a first-class citizen became the "food on the plate" of money.

Under the temptation of money, the honor of this city was suddenly shattered. We appeared so weak and helpless, with many lives taken away by money, and very few people resisting money and honor. We all lived in the evil veil shrouded in money. We are not dolls of money and honor. We should use our diligent hands to obtain them, rather than being bound by them.

Recently, I read a book by Mark Twain called "Million Pounds", which mainly satirizes various characters and events in society.

The story takes place in England, where a poor American named Henry receives a check for one million pounds - it turns out that a pair of wealthy brothers are asking how a poor person would use this check. Previously, Henrys every move was looked down upon by people; However, when Henry had this million pound note, for example: he went to buy clothes, and when he took out this million pound note, the boss would be very attentive to him, choosing whatever clothes he wanted without paying. They thought he was a wealthy second generation and couldnt find such expensive pounds. Afterwards, wherever he went, all the shop owners gave him a free bill. But because he didnt spend money and knew that the pound wasnt his own, he also owed a large amount of debt. Fortunately, a month finally arrived and he also had a girlfriend, returning the check intact to his wealthy brother.

After reading the article, I became disgusted with those Money worship. In their eyes, money is omnipotent, but there are many things that money cannot buy, such as noble qualities, good character, precious time. Moreover, they ignore some poor people, and when they see wealthy people, they follow them like a pug and flatter them. It seems that in their eyes, as long as they have money, everything is unimportant, and they can turn wrong into right, lowly into noble... And how selfish these people are, completely devoid of love, and without giving help to others. So, this type of person is disliked by everyone.

Finally, I would like to say to everyone that we cannot be tempted by this glittering money. What we need more is noble quality and spirit.

The million pound is a huge banknote, symbolizing not only wealth but also status in 20th century England. It can make a worthless homeless person become a beloved millionaire. This article satirizes the idea that "money is everything" and "money is everything", exposing the ugly face of capitalist society.

Millions of Pounds "tells the story of Henry Adam, an American who wanders in London. He meets two billionaires who bet that if they give a poor man a one million pound note, they will bet whether he can survive with it within thirty days. As a result, Henrys life underwent a drastic change. He went to a tailors shop, and the waiter saw him look like a poor man, giving him a cold eye. The boss also didnt show up until he took out the money. The waiter was stunned, but the money was one million! The boss heard the sound and rushed out. Not only do you praise yourself for making this outfit well, but you also measure the size. And even used the prince to make a big fuss. Henceforth, Henry not only lived for thirty days, but also made a windfall out of this million pound bill. Everyone around him desperately wooed him, from free meals, buying clothes, to free accommodation. Not only that, he also married a good wife and a bank interest of 200000 yuan.

Author Mark Twain used comic writing to outline the various ugliness of different characters in the face of "millions of pounds", allowing us to see clearly the ugliness of people in the 20th century in the face of money. There is a saying: Money can make the mare go round. Thats a good sentence. At that time, wasnt everyone willing to be a slave to money?

Money worship is shameful, and it is even more improper to get something without work! Money is not everything, there are many things in the world that are more important than money... Lets not be a shameful miser.

I have read animal novels written by Shen Shixi, Shangguan Waner, which describes Wu Zetians confidant, and Ma Xiaotiao, which is written by Yang Hongying, but it is all in Past tense. Recently, I read a new book - Million Pounds.

This is a classic work by Mark Twain, as well as a satirical short story. Opening it, I felt like I was on the street with the protagonist, and suddenly took out the million pound note, which surprised the shopkeeper.

At first, he was penniless and squatted by the square, looking at a pear that had been bitten a few times. When he felt extremely hungry, I couldnt help but secretly worry about him. He didnt have money, it was really difficult to survive, but as long as he found a job, he would definitely have food to eat and a place to live.

The protagonist saw money in the envelope and ran to the restaurant. After eating a lot of delicious food, when he checked out and found out that there was actually a million pound bill inside, my heart was broken because if he used this million pound bill, he would be arrested at the police station. Because I had already been introduced earlier, I knew about the gambling process of this million pound bill. It was really ridiculous. A poor homeless man gave him a million pound bill, This bet reflects the British spirit of daring to try.

When the protagonist was laughed at by the clerk in the Clothes shop because his clothes were shabby, I thought it was a kind of arrogant description that reflected the clerks indifference to the poor. But when he offered a million pounds, the boss asked him to never pay, and put aside the clothes of other small customers to customize clothes for this "rich man". Mark Twain was really a master of language, Describe this matter in such detail.

After reading this book, I am still reminiscing about the scene just now, which is truly a gift from the authors description to the readers.

The author of the book Million Pounds is Mark Twain, originally named Sam Longhorn Clemens, from Missouri, USA. Mark Twain is a compassionate and righteous writer who excels in humor and satire.

Million Pounds "is about a poor and honest person, and the protagonist of this story receives a letter from a pair of brothers, in which he is given one million pounds. So this pair of brothers made a bet, what would happen if a poor and honest person received a million pounds from the sky? My brother thinks he will starve to death because he cannot prove that the money is his own and will be suspected by others. Even the bank will not allow him to deposit money. The younger brother thought he would be doing well, so the two of them lent the poor man a check of one million pounds and stayed abroad for thirty days. Unexpectedly, during this period, people were desperately trying to woo this rare wealthy man who suddenly became wealthy, from free meals, buying clothes, to free accommodation, one by one like beggars to please him and continuously improve his social status, all the way up to the highest duke outside the palace! Not only that, he also received a good wife and a bank interest of 30000 pounds, and finally got a great job from his two brothers. Living a very, very happy life.

This book, written by American humorist Mark Twain, uses exaggerated artistic techniques to satirize peoples greedy face in the face of money. It emphatically exposed the Money worship of money supremacy in the society at that time, money! It has become the standard for measuring everything! The author drew a caricature of various ugly faces of different characters in front of the "million pounds". It is humorous and funny, and full of fun, just like a Caricature of the world, which makes people laugh.

During the winter vacation, I finished reading the entire book Million Pounds. I was deeply shocked by the power of this wisdom. The protagonist in the story created a fortune for himself with his own intelligence and intelligence.

This is such a magical thing. The protagonist was originally a poor but wise young man. Coincidentally, there happened to be two wealthy individuals betting - could a poor but wise young man survive for thirty days with an indescribable million pounds? And he was chosen. And he not only lived happily for thirty days, but also gained a fortune for himself.

Indeed, there are many examples in our lives of getting rich through wisdom. For example, Jack Ma, the father of the internet, who we are familiar with, advocated online shopping, making everyone feel unprecedented convenience and speed, thus becoming the richest person in China. There is a poor and backward mountain village in China called Huaxi Village. In order to change the living environment in the village, a cadre proposed that industrial production should not rely solely on agricultural production. By combining the wisdom and efforts of everyone, we can ultimately transform the original poverty into the current prosperity. Isnt this changed by wisdom? So wisdom is the source of wealth, and wisdom can cast wealth. If you only have wealth without wisdom, then you will eventually become penniless. So study hard! Obtaining more wisdom is for the sake of self-improvement, creating wealth for oneself, and also for the improvement of society, making our country more prosperous.

Wisdom is wealth, and wisdom is strength. Wisdom can improve both ones own life and everyones life. And wisdom is an invaluable asset that cannot be exchanged. Because everyones wisdom is unique to you alone.

After watching the beautiful Strange Man of the World, I read another book Million Pounds.

Million Pounds "mainly tells the story of a young American who was rescued by a ship during a sea voyage when he encountered wind and waves. I volunteered on top to pay my own shipping fee and arrived in London. He was penniless at the time. The two rich brothers got a check of one million pounds and lent the one million pounds to the young man to see if he could live in Fleabag for a month with the one million pounds but could not open the one million pounds. His experiences are also very interesting. Finally, he returned the money to the brothers. He also married a beautiful wife with an interest of 30000 yuan. Its really killing two birds with one stone!

When I saw the chapter about the story told by strangers, I really believed Harris story. I really thought they ate human flesh in the car. When I saw them eating human flesh, I broke out in a cold sweat behind my back because it was really scary until I realized later that the story was not real, but made up by him. Because he used to be a member of parliament. But once he was trapped in a train in a blizzard and almost froze to death., Finally, he became a Paranoia. Every time he mentioned those old words, he would talk endlessly. When I saw him flip it upside down., So when he sprayed two handfuls of iron sand, I thought that person was too despicable, playing unfair games by any means to win. This behavior is shameful.

This book Million Pounds has shown me the darkness of society. This book reflects the dark and unscrupulous nature of society. This book taught me that money is not everything, but without it, one cannot do anything.

What thing emits light? What is golden? What makes peoples eyes shine as soon as its taken out? By the way, its gold. The million pound book is about a priceless banknote. Its author is Mr. Mark Twain, a famous American writer. Through various experiences of a small clerk, the author satirizes the role of money in the rise and fall of bourgeois society. The authors delicate brushstroke outlines the various ugliness of different characters in front of millions of pounds. Humorous and funny, the fun is just like a Caricature of the world, which makes people laugh.

Millions of Pounds describes an American named Henry living in London? Adam, he met two American billionaire brothers who bet on whether a beggar could survive three days after receiving a million pound check, resulting in a million pound check. Henry was hungry and went to a restaurant. The boss saw him look like a poor man and sent him to the corner. The waiter also felt that he had no money to pay. When he checked out, everyone was stunned, but the check was one million! So he was treated like a quirky millionaire, not only did he get a free meal, but the boss also bowed to him twice at 90 degrees before leaving! Another day, because his clothes were shabby, he was going to make a suit. In the Clothes shop, the salesperson pushed him one by one, and finally he was pushed to the garment room. The clerk in the small shop was extremely snobbish, giving him a very inappropriate dress to send him away, and even mocking him before checking out. When Henry took out a million pounds, the shop assistant burst into tears! After the boss found out, he customized Halifax for Henry free of charge? Hespondars clothes were given to him. Not only did Henry recognize it, but he also said he wanted to deliver the goods to his doorstep.

No matter how much you love money, dont lose the basic honest nature of being a person; No matter how much you love money, dont abandon morality and conscience; No matter how much you love money, dont hurt others; No matter how much you love money, you must obtain it through legitimate means!

Million Pounds "is the work of American writer Mark Twain. His original name was Samuel Lange Clemens, an American humorist, novelist, writer, a famous Orator, and an outstanding representative of American Literary realism in the late 19th century.

This novel tells the story of an American poor boys adventure in London. After being determined to be an honest but poor person, the protagonist Henry Adams was "loaned" one million pounds by a strange pair of brothers for a bet. His experience is also very interesting. People first looked down on him from his clothes, and when he offered a million pounds to others for change, people not only nodded and bowed to him. Moreover, even some of the more expensive expenses for Henry did not require him to pay them immediately, and some people were even willing to give up the money directly because they not only couldnt find the money, but also believed that the millionaire would not care about this "small" money. In the end, Henry not only obtained a beautiful wife like a treasure, but also received interest of 30000 pounds.

My feeling is that snobbish people look down on the poor, feel that helping the poor is not beneficial to themselves, and are also indifferent to the poor. But as soon as I see a wealthy person, I am very polite and enthusiastic towards him. This situation demonstrates their ideology of putting money first, showing respect for those with money and disdain for those without it. I think this kind of thinking is very bad. Whether poor or rich, they are all equal and should be respected by others. At the same time, helping the poor is also a happy thing. When you do your best to help others, there will be an indescribable joy and joy in your heart. I think people should still help the poor. In addition, I also believe that money should not be the top priority and people should not be judged based on appearance. Although money is important, it is not everything! There are more important things in the world than money.

Million Pounds "is the American writer Mark Twain, and I have read several of his novels. Today, I will look for his representative works to read.

This is a short story about Henry (the protagonist) who accidentally arrives in Paris and becomes a beggar. Due to misfortune and fortune, he was chosen as the betting man by two brothers who were gambling, giving him one million pounds. The brother said he would die within a month, but the younger brother didnt think so. In this way, the beggar suddenly gained fame and status after experiencing several consumption experiences. A month has passed, and Henry not only did not die but also returned 1 million yuan, as well as 200000 yuan and a wife.

What impressed me most was the owner and clerk of the Clothes shop Henry entered. When they first saw Henry, they saw him dressed in rags. No one paid attention to him and only came to pick out his clothes in the end, with a disgruntled expression on his face. However, when he saw his 1 million bill, he suddenly became a different person and began to be obedient to him. From this, it can be seen that the shop assistant is a person who is open-minded about money. Mark Twains writing satirizes those who only focus on judging people by their appearance. Based on the protagonists experience, we need to learn to seize opportunities. In the story, Henry takes advantage of his fame, uses 1 million as the principal, and earns back 200000.

After reading this story, I understand that in order to succeed, one must seize the opportunity. Just like the protagonist in the story, I also understand that people cannot look at their appearance, they must look at their inner selves, and they cannot just focus on money. They should treat people equally. From this, it can be seen that in the past, most people in Paris were misers.

I will continue to read other novels written by Mark Twain.

These days, I have read a book called Million Pounds. Author Mark Twain is an American writer, humorist, novelist, and also a famous speaker. He is an outstanding representative of American Literary realism in the late 19th century. My favorite stories in this book are "Million Pounds", "The Story of Good Kids", "The Story of Bad Kids", and "The Big Beef Contract Incident".

Millions of pounds "tells the story of a poor boy who, by chance, gets a million dollar bill and calls for wind and rain. There are several passages in this story that he went to the Clothes shop after he got a million yuan. At first, the employees and the boss ignored him when they saw that he was dressed untidy. Later, when they saw his million yuan, their attitude towards him turned 180 degrees.

The "Bulk Beef Contract Event" is about John and his descendants who died one by one in order to recover the outstanding beef payment. In the end, they entrusted the matter to the protagonist, but the protagonist never returned the outstanding beef payment.

The story of the bad boy "tells the story of Jim, the bad boy, who idles around all day, but he is always very lucky. He goes to play with water on weekends but doesnt drown; Going fishing on the Sabbath, but not being struck by lightning; I didnt fall off the tree to steal apples. In short, he is so lucky.

The story of a good child is about a good child named Jacob. Brevens really wants to be a good child in the book, but he cant always achieve his desired story.

After reading this book, I started as a good child, Jacob. Brevens learned to persist; I learned from the "Bulk Beef Contract Incident" that the US governments inhumane management; I learned from a few paragraphs worth millions of pounds that some people in the United States are very powerful.

The works of American writer Mark Twain are mainly written in a humorous and satirical style. Many of his short stories share a common characteristic: criticizing various unequal phenomena in society. Especially his Million Pounds is a highly satirical story that deeply captivates me.

This story tells the story of the protagonist from picking up pears from the sewer to being very particular about food, clothing, housing, and transportation; From penniless to wealthy; From the unnoticed little mouse to the nationally renowned star... all of this has undergone a huge transformation, relying solely on the income of ones own labor, a gamble of the wealthy, and an inexplicable coincidence. Just because he looks honest and intelligent, and is also a poor person from the countryside, he is favored by two wealthy Londoners as a gambling tool.

The gambling game is to give him a huge one million pound note, and if he can live well without using it for a month, give him a job. The protagonist in the story, relying on this huge sum of money and peoples snobbery, goes from having only this huge banknote (or someone else borrowing him) to having his own one million yuan bank passbook. This huge bill brought him a decent life, a beautiful girl, and the respect of the people around him, which he had been working hard for many years and could not obtain.

This story deeply impressed me with the snobbishness and unfairness of people in that society. Just because of this huge bill, a poor person is treated like a millionaire. If the protagonist changes into a tattered outfit and goes shopping, it is easy to be insulted. I cant just recognize money like those people.

During the summer vacation, I read a famous American humorist and novelist Mark Twains humorous novel "Million Pounds". The article satirizes the idea that "money is everything" and "money is everything", exposing the ugly face of capitalist society. As the saying goes, "Money can make the mare go." It shows how important money is, and how many people in our lives have no money but dream of falling money from heaven to spend on them.

This book mainly depicts a small clerk in the United States who goes on a sea trip, loses his way, is rescued, and comes to London, England with a ship. He was penniless and had no family, and two wealthy brothers gave him a one million pound note, betting on whether he could survive with it within thirty days. At the end of the novel, the little character not only survived for thirty days, but also made a fortune with this million pound note and gained the heart of a young lady.

Seeing this, I envy this "lucky" protagonist very much, but at the same time, I also think: Isnt the reason why people please him because people valued money too much at that time? This book satirizes some people who cannot resist the temptation of money to engage in some selfish behavior. This book also teaches us that money is external. There is no money to make money by relying on ones own abilities. However, a person cannot be happy without the principles of being a person, even if they have a lot of wealth. If you cannot resist the temptation of money, you will also lose your direction. To make your life meaningful, you must adhere to your principles.

Money worship is shameful. Its even more improper to get something without work. Money is not omnipotent. There are many things more important than money in the world……

Today, I read Mark Twains short story "Million Pounds" and couldnt calm down for a long time: no matter how much I love money, I cant lose honesty and conscience.

The novel mainly tells the story of Henry Adam, a clerk in San Francisco, who unexpectedly drifts to London, England. At that time, he was unarmed and had no place to rest. That day, he was wandering in a square. Suddenly, he was called into a luxurious room where two gentlemen were betting to lend a million pounds to a poor man. Therefore, they lent the million pounds to Henry Adam. In the following life, he, who had previously been inconspicuous in London, instantly became a millionaire holding one million pounds! In his repeated experiences, Henry dined in restaurants or purchased various daily necessities from any store, initially suffering from indifference and neglect due to his clothing. Later, when he took out a million pounds, he was warmly treated by the staff and boss, and this enthusiasm had reached the point where he could purchase items without spending money.

Through these events, the focus has been on highlighting the current ugliness of people being open-minded and money oriented.

This reminds me of a skit called Money or no money is a mother: there was a couple whose wife was very domineering and asked her husband to do this and that. One day, their son had his birthday, and their grandmother and grandmother came to celebrate his birthday. The grandmothers family was very rich, and the grandmothers family was very poor. The grandmother gave them 10000 yuan, and the wife always flattered her mother. However, the childs grandmother gave them 20000 yuan, and they asked how the money came from. The grandmother said that the Yan duck egg jar in the previous house was an antique. So, it was handed over to the state, and the state gave her a prize of 500000 yuan. Without saying a word, her wife immediately wanted to please the childs grandmother.

In fact, money is not very important. If the world doesnt use money, then how much money you have will be a waste of paper at that time. However, some people really value money too much.

I have read Million Pounds many times, but every time I read it, it can be considered a regular reading. From elementary school until now, every time there has been a different realization. The protagonist, the downtrodden Henry Adams, fell to the streets of London and changed his life due to a million dollar check from a stranger. Understanding creation is the greatest wealth.

In the novel, Henry Adams constantly uses the Money worship of small citizens to escape payment for many times. This is certainly Mark Twains exaggerated satire, but it is true that Adams saved a lot of money by knowing how to see the hearts of others and how to create wealth invisibly. In the end, he even rose to fame and became a person of great influence - there was such a strange wealthy man who liked to shop in tattered clothes.

The appearance of friend Lloyd can be said to have saved Adams life later on. When Adams and Miss Boxia fell in love, he also realized that the deadline for repaying the money was approaching. He collaborated with Lloyd to buy out the minerals and make a fortune. From then on, I lived a happy life and married Miss Boxia. Of course, these are all later words.

But arent these fairy tale like wealth and endings that Adams knew how to create wealth? So, creating wealth is the long-term solution.

Returning to the beginning of the novel, two wealthy businessmen lent a million pound check to Adams in order to test whether he could repay the million pounds on time. In fact, when everyone was in middle school lottery, their mood must be the same as that of Adams at the time, it was like "God help me!" However, many people got carried away by winning the biggest fortune in the lottery, and I think "After Success" was written very well. Yes, if you are only confused by some seemingly huge wealth, wouldnt it seem like putting the cart before the horse? You see, some people quit their jobs after winning the lottery, indulging in extravagance and laziness. What is the use of these great treasures for them? In fact, when they run out of ammunition and food, it should be them who are in distress.

I think the money from winning the lottery is also like a check, but with a longer term. Can these be considered big wealth?

What is truly created by oneself will enable you to use it without regret and unleash the maximum value of this wealth. Through his own creation, Adams not only gained a lot of money, but also the greatest wealth - love and home.

Indeed, those who understand creativity are often successful individuals, and they will not be satisfied with vested interests, but will focus on long-term benefits.

Understanding that creation is the greatest wealth may be what the novel Million Pounds aims to teach us.

Full reading of poetry and books is the key to ones own prosperity. This semester, I not only read many poems and works by Chinese literati, but also many magnificent works by famous foreign writers, just like Mark Twains "Million Pounds".

This novel connects a series of people and objects together through a main thread. A thin million pound note intersperses many things, creating a "string of beads" style story that is vivid and interesting to read.

A poor man unexpectedly found a million pound note. Two immortals bet, "He wont be able to spend it. If he spends it within three days, this million pounds will be his!" The result was unexpected, with three losses, three gains, three encounters, and three hilarious moments. This is the true charm of Mark Twains humorous anecdotes! The final bill landed leisurely on the red carpet of the hotel. The novel is enough to satisfy the readers appetite, and the development of the story fluctuates like the waves of the sea, with each layer rising and falling. This is Mark Twains true writing technique.

When I read about the merchant in that store and saw the greedy gaze of the poor man wearing a million pound note, the greed of human nature was revealed! Money is not the source of all evil, but it is enough to awaken the seeds of greed in peoples hearts. That description can be described as a brilliant and unparalleled stroke in the text. His eyes were fixed on the million pound note on his body, but he flattered and said, "What do you want? Oh, yes, you shouldnt be called a guest, you should be called a wealthy man! We dare not neglect what you want. Just say what you want, give it to you, and never ask for a penny..." In fact, this description reveals the concept of money supremacy in this society and the world, Rather than truly providing services.

At the end, Mark Twain clarified the true meaning of this story in one sentence, "Although the rich have a beautiful feeling for a pure life." This is the true essence of this story. Through a simple story and a string of beads, it shows us the interpretation of Mark Twains human nature in life and the true description of social customs.

Books are the gates of knowledge; Books are the nourishment of flowers and plants; Books are the bright lights at night; Books are the seawater of fish. Reading books every day has become my habit. At noon, accompanied by the sunshine, I quietly read Million Pounds, and after reading it, I was filled with thoughts and imaginations.

The author of "Million Pounds" is American writer Mark Twain. Million Pounds "has been included in the" World Youth Literature Classic Library

Million Pounds "mainly tells the story of" I "working as a clerk at a mining broker in San Francisco at the age of 27. Once, "I" boldly sailed out of the bay and drifted all the way to the sea. When "I" was about to despair, a sailboat bound for London saved "me". On the morning of the second day after disembarking, "I" was hungry and in a state of confusion. At this moment, I saw a child in front led by a nanny, throwing delicious pears that had only been bitten once into the sewer. At this time, "I" stared at the snow pear in the mud with greedy eyes. "I" was drooling and hungry for it. When I made up my mind to get the pear, a gentleman leaned out of the window and shouted to "me": "Sir, please come in."

So, a servant led me into a luxurious room, where two elderly gentlemen were sitting. They had a detailed understanding of everything about me, and finally they told "me" that "I" was just what they wanted. After they handed me an envelope, I opened it and found out it was a 5 million dollar check. Holding this 5 million dollar bill, I was dressed in tattered clothes, which surprised those who only looked at appearance. Soon, this matter spread widely. Everyone is running after me. A month later, two gentlemen returned, and one of them even married his daughter to me. From then on, I completely changed my life and destiny.

Mark Twain wrote an article with beautiful texture, rich vocabulary, and peculiar imagination. He described the protagonists appearance and demeanor vividly, and his movements and demeanor were described vividly, vividly, and concretely. These are all things I want to learn from Mark Twain, and these are all gains from reading. I firmly believe that as long as I read more and write frequently, I can definitely write beautiful articles like Mark Twain.

Million Pounds "is a satirical novel that mainly describes an American named Henry Adam who is exiled to London due to his ship being sent overseas. He meets two billionaire brothers who are gambling and receives millions of pounds. At that time, Henry was wolfing down food in a restaurant. The boss and waiter saw that he was dressed in rags and thought Henry was a poor man, so they didnt treat him well. However, when he checked out, everyone was shocked. What he brought out was a million pound bill, so he not only became a millionaire, but also waived the meal.

Because of his shabby clothes, Henry wanted to buy clothes. In the Clothes shop, the clerk was very snobbish. He took the worst clothes that customers didnt want and sent Henry off. He also mocked him at the checkout. But when Henry offered a million pounds, the clerk was shocked! The boss immediately respectfully selected clothes for Henry and worshipped him like a god.

Mark Twain uses exaggerated techniques to reveal the ugliness of human nature. In the novel, some people even betray and kill their loved ones at all costs for money. In their eyes, money is more important than everything. The rich are their gods, while those without money can only be ridiculed by them.

These phenomena in novels are ubiquitous in our current society. Some businessmen are mercenary and ignore the lives and health of the people. They produce Gutter oil and make fake and inferior products in order to obtain the maximum benefits. Some doctors, in order to increase their income, make patients undergo useless examinations and take useless drugs. In the eyes of these unscrupulous doctors, money is more important than the patients life.

In life, money is indeed very important. Sometimes, without money, it is difficult to move forward. However, health, integrity, family relationships, and friendships are not something that money alone can buy. Each of us should treat money correctly, and we must not lose humanity for the sake of money. We must not lose the most basic integrity of being a person, nor abandon morality and conscience. We must not do anything harmful to society or people in order to obtain money. No matter how much you love money, you should obtain it through legitimate means and be an upright person.

During the summer vacation, after finishing my homework, I enjoy reading extracurricular books. Among them, I read a book called "Million Pounds", which deeply touched me.

Million Pounds "is one of Mark Twains most classic short stories, which mainly tells the story of a penniless, orphaned, and discriminated against poor Henry. By chance, he encounters two wealthy brothers in London who make a bet and lend him an impossible million dollar bill to see how he ends up within a month. Due to owning this million pound banknote, his value immediately increased, and all those who usually disdain him flattered him, demonstrating the immense charm of money. Later, Henry not only passed a month without any danger, but also made a fortune with this million pound note and won the heart of a young lady.

In the literary works, the author uses a comparative approach to reveal the prevailing trend of money supremacy in British society at that time, outlining the various ugliness of different characters in the face of "millions of pounds", humorous and full of satire.

The author also ed a large amount of language descriptions, highlighting the personality characteristics of the characters and promoting the development of the story plot. In the plot layout, layers of suspense were set up, while the techniques of contrast and satire were perfectly combined, reflecting its superb and exquisite writing art.

Million Pounds "is a good book worth recommending for reading, and everyone must read it well when given the opportunity.

During the summer vacation, I read a million pound book. It tells the story of a homeless man who is everywhere despised and despised. However, since he received the million pounds he mistakenly received, he has been respected and even flattered everywhere. Even in a magazine, his status surpassed all dukes.

After reading it, I couldnt help but ponder deeply. Why did this homeless man, who was initially at the bottom of society, become so prominent in just a few days that he was respected? Its money, a rare million pounds in the world. The attraction of money has changed peoples perspectives, and I cant help but sigh at the coldness and heartache of this world. Rich people please you in every way, while those without money treat you coldly. Everyone in this book lives in the world of money. In order to obtain money, one is willing to sell ones personality and flatter others. People living in this world should not only live for money, but should pursue their own ideals and always remember the past with a clear conscience. Hai Rui of the Ming Dynasty, who had no money to bury after the death of Qingfeng with two sleeves, was respected by future generations. However, during the Qing Dynasty, Heshen had a wealth of wealth that could rival the country, but was despised by later generations. So I think people should treat money as something outside of themselves. Dont sell your personality for a little money. I think such people should feel ashamed of themselves.

I have read Mark Twains short story "Million Pounds", which satirizes the idea that "money is everything" and "money is everything".

Million Pounds "is about a poor and honest person who receives a letter from a pair of brothers and has a million pounds in his heart. It turned out that the brothers were betting on what would happen if a poor and honest person received one million pounds. My brother bet that he will be arrested or starved to death; My younger brother bet that person would live on that one million pound note for thirty days. They gave one million pounds to this person and stayed abroad for thirty days. Unexpectedly, during this period, people kept building relationships with this suddenly wealthy man, doing everything for free, and everyone was pleasing him. His status had been elevated to dukes except for all royal families. He also received a good wife and 30000 in bank interest. I also got a great job from my two brothers.

Seeing this, I thought to myself: Isnt it because he has a lot of money that people please him? Do people value money too much?

Money is not everything, its not everything!

My academic performance is not very good, money cannot buy knowledge, and I cannot get full marks in every exam.

Money is still powerless in the face of knowledge. I must study hard in order to acquire knowledge, which money cannot.

Today, I read a book - "Million Pounds", which is the work of famous writer Mark Twain. As soon as I opened this exquisite book, I couldnt help but be attracted by its exciting storyline.

The main story of this book is about a poor homeless man, who is the protagonist of this story, Henry Adam, passing by a pair of brothers. The brothers saw him and called him over, giving him a check for one million pounds.

So this pair of brothers made a bet, what would happen if a poor homeless man unexpectedly received a million pound note? My brother believes that this is completely useless to him because he cannot fulfill it, so he will continue to wander. My younger brother thinks he will live well because he has a million pounds in his hands.

So the brothers lent Henry a check of one million pounds and stayed abroad for a whole month, demanding that it be returned to him one month later. Unexpectedly, during this period of time, people were desperately trying to flatter and please this homeless man who suddenly became prosperous: free dining in restaurants, free buying of clothing, free staying in high-end hotels... Not only that, but he also got a beautiful wife, and finally got a good job from his two brothers, living a very happy life.

This is a work that contains philosophical principles, reflecting peoples attitudes towards a person having a certain amount of money. When a person is wealthy, people flatter and please him; On the contrary, when a person is penniless, others will reject him and turn a cold eye towards him.

In real life, arent there many such things? For example, if As boss is B, in order to improve his position, A will say a lot of flattery, which sounds better than singing. In this way, naturally, B will fall in love with this flatterer and continuously improve As status, achieving As goal.

For example, A is a wealthy person, while B is a poor beggar. So, when A passes in front of B, he sees A as nothing and still says behind his back that A is deceiving or pretending.

那么,當(dāng)A經(jīng)過B面前時(shí),便視A為無(wú)物,還在背后說A什么騙人的、假裝的之類的。

During this years winter vacation, I read the story of a million pounds.

Million Pounds "is a famous novel by Mark Twain, depicting Henry Adam, a small clerk from the United States, who goes on a trip to the sea and loses his way. Fortunately, he is rescued and comes with a ship to London, England. He was penniless and had no family, and two wealthy brothers were betting to see if a person with a registered one million dollar bill could survive for a month. They were looking for someone, and in the end, they were looking for Henry Adam to give him a one million pound bill and told him that they were betting on whether he could survive with this one million pound bill within thirty days. And if he lives beyond thirty days, they will give him the job he wants.

Henry Adam took out the money while eating, buying clothes, and staying at a hotel, asking others to change it, while others let him pay for it. He also met Boxia Langham at the embassy and fell in love with her. Boxia Langham also fell in love with him. At this time, American newspapers said he was a wealthy monster, and they all said he was very rich. He told Boxia Langham the whole story and asked him to come with him after thirty days. He met his old friend Hestin again, and Henry Adam asked Hestin to invest in his name. With this one million pound, Henry Adam earned 200000 pounds. In the end, he went to find the two wealthy brothers, where he learned that they were Bosha Langhams stepfather. In the end, he found a good job - their son-in-law.

This story made me understand that Money worship is shameful. People cant only look at money.

Today we learned a new lesson called "The Magic of Money". This article is from "Million Pounds". The main story of this lesson is: there was a person who came to a clothing store wearing very shabby clothes. The waiter took him to a place where many people didnt buy clothes. However, when the person took out a million dollar bill, the attitude of the waiter and the store manager immediately changed 180 degrees, The store manager started looking for various expensive clothes for this person to try on, and the store manager didnt charge him yet. The store manager wanted to curry favor with the millionaire, and in this text, he also used a technique of comparison before and after. Moreover, this short article has a particularly good feature, which is that it can better highlight the evil of society at that time and what peoples hearts are, in their hearts, everything is no longer visible.

The only thing they can only see is money, and they can do anything for money. We should value what truly matters to ourselves.

But as soon as he left, he opened the envelope and found a one million dollar bill inside. During this period, people were desperately trying to woo this rare wealthy man who suddenly became wealthy, from paying for meals, buying clothes, to free accommodation, one by one like beggars, constantly improving his social status, all the way up to the highest duke outside of the king! Not only that, but he also received a good wife and a bank interest of 30000 pounds. In the end, he also got a good job from his two brothers and lived a very happy life.

After reading it, I realized that money is not everything, money can buy a home but not happiness, money can buy blood but not life, money can buy a clock but not time... What we need to do is treat our lives with a calm heart, and we must strive for our own lives. There is no free lunch in the world, only hardworking people can gain.

In this world, money is essential, and with it, one can do whatever they want. In the article Million Pounds, the Money worship thought of British society at the beginning of the 20th century was exposed. The Receptionist in the Clothes shop shows Money worship. When the protagonist has no money, he treats him coldly, while on the contrary, he constantly flatters and flatters him.

The protagonist is Henry Adams. He was originally working as a clerk in San Francisco, but when he went out to sea again, he lost his way. Fortunately, he was rescued and arrived in London, but he was penniless. Just in his despair

At that time, a pair of wealthy brothers had nothing to do and made a bet. Choose a person, give them a check for one million yuan, and live for a month without redeeming the check. One of the two brothers bet that he can do it, and the other bet that he cant. And Henry not only survived, but also made a windfall and won the heart of a noblewoman.

The most interesting part is the section where Henry buys clothes. At first, the shop assistant Todd didnt even look at him, only focused on those wealthy customers. Dont take care of Henry until youre done. He chose the worst outfit for Henry. When he was paying, he saw a million pound check from Hongli, and his eyes immediately opened. Todd quickly took off Henrys outfit and asked the boss to come out and customize two or three sets of aristocratic clothing for him. Todd and the boss kept saying good things to Henry. The expression and language of Todd and the boss after seeing money are well described.

This article portrays peoples greed for money and also warns us not to be tempted by money.

The author of "Million Pounds", Mark Twain, originally named Samuel Langham Clemens, is an outstanding American writer, renowned journalist, and humorist. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer that we have read is his masterpiece.

Million Pounds "mainly tells the story of a pair of brothers who bet, lending a million pound note to an honest and trustworthy" me ", making" me "a well-known figure and giving" me "a home.

When "I" was dressed in rags and carrying this million pound bill to buy clothes, the shop assistant chose the worst set of clothes from a pile of unwanted ones for me. However, when the shop assistant saw "me" with a million pound bill, his "smile fell into this predicament and remained unchanged." The boss personally measured and specified the clothes for "me" and was willing to wait "indefinitely" for payment. No matter where I go to buy things, everyone is willing to owe. From this I can see the Money worship of western countries at that time. They respected the rich and despised the poor.

Mark Twain portrayed the corruption of society at that time with humor and satire. I think this article also exposes the voices of many poor people: they want to get rich!

During the summer vacation, I read the famous American writer Mark Twains "Million Pounds". The humorous and vivid storyline deeply attracted me.

This book tells the story of an adventure in London by Henry Adams, an impoverished but honest American. He was rescued after being in danger during a sea trip and subsequently wandered in England. Under the unbearable hunger, I plan to pick up half a pear that has been casually abandoned by others. This scene happened to be seen by a pair of brothers who were looking for someone to bet on, so they lent Henry a million pound note that could not be redeemed to see how he would handle it within a month.

My brother believes that he will be arrested for not daring to starve to death with it or for not belonging to him when using the ticket, while my brother believes that he will live well.

His experience was very strange. At first, people saw him in tattered clothes, so both the boss and the staff looked down on him and mocked him when buying things in the store. But when Henry took out a million pounds, everyones faces were stunned. They immediately "changed their faces", showing an ugly expression of all kinds of flattery and flattery.

When the one month deadline came to an end, Henry not only did not starve or be arrested, but instead became a wealthy man. He also married a beautiful wife and received 200000 pounds.

This book has shown me the greed of human nature and the distortion of personality. When a person has no money, they will abandon their shoes and look at you with a contemptuous gaze; On the contrary, if you have money, they will flatter and even sell their personality and dignity. But it also teaches us, Money is not everything, but without money, it is impossible. Without money, one can earn it through ones own labor. However, if a person does not have the principles of being a person, it is extremely sad. Even if he has any wealth, he will never be respected and respected by others.

Just as many people nowadays buy lottery tickets and hope to one day win the big prize, the probability of winning the big prize is rare, and there are also fragmented families behind winning the prize. Although money can bring us material needs, it cannot bring us spiritual harmony, because no amount of money can buy warmth and harmony at home, let alone a healthy body.

Now, I finally understand the principle of a gentleman loves wealth and takes it with the Tao.

This winter vacation, I read the book "Million Pounds" by Mark Twain, the famous satirical novelist and father of American literature.

This book tells the story of a young man named John Adams in San Francisco, USA, who lost his way because he was too far away from the harbor. Fortunately, a double gardenia ship from San Francisco to London rescued him. He replaced his ticket with a work ticket on the ship and arrived in London penniless. At this moment, a pair of wealthy brothers used a million pound note to bet that they could use this check to make a simple poor man live safely in London for a month. Gradually, John Adams came into their sight. John Adams will be looked down upon by people for his shabby clothes no matter he goes to dinner or buys clothes. But when he took out this bill, people not only paid him a lot of attention, but even the related expenses could be reduced. John Adams met a young lady named Portia Lamb at a dance. He told her the whole story because he was attracted to her. And Miss Lamb was also fascinated by his honest personality. A month has finally passed. It was only when John Adams learned that Miss Lamb was the daughter of one of the rich. His honest personality was recognized by Miss Lambs father and ultimately lived happily with her.

I think the advantage of this book is not just its humorous language. More importantly, this book Million Pounds exposes the ugliness of corruption and money worship among people in Britain at that time. John Adams went to a restaurant when he had no money, and went to a restaurant when he had money. The attitude of the shopkeeper and the restaurant clerk to him was totally different, which can show how money worship was in that society at that time. I think in this era, we should learn from the negative characters in "Million Pounds" and resolutely not do the same thing as him, which is the educational significance of this book.

Today, I read "Million Pounds" by Mark Twain, a famous American short story writer. I admire his language.

Millions of pounds "is the most representative article in novels, telling the absurd story of a penniless and wandering poor boy who, by chance, received a million pounds, thus turning the tide and stirring the wind and rain. The author portrays the various ugliness of different characters in the face of money with a humorous and witty tone, like a comic in real life, which is highly satirical.

What I like most is the experience of the protagonist in the Clothes shop. As a result, the character of the waiter and the boss has changed 360 degrees. First, they look down on him, and then slightly better. But since he gave out millions of pounds, the bosss attitude immediately changed to flattery. The sentence that impressed me the most was "Before I even took out the money, the shop owner wanted to give me the entire store", which reflects the current world of banknotes and the ugly nature of peoples power.

After reading the book Million Pounds, I learned that the saying money is not everything is true because money cannot buy health, ones own health, or a happy family. But I also know that money is not everything. Without money, one cannot buy a comfortable house, delicious snacks, and beautiful clothes. Both of these sentences are correct.

Mark. In Twains book Million Pounds, there is a story that goes like this: there was a poor but honest man named Henry, but there was a pair of brothers betting that if a poor and honest person received this million pounds, what would their next life be like? My brother bet that he will definitely be arrested or starved to death; My younger brother bet that the person would live for 30 days with this one million pound note. They handed it over to this person and went to live abroad for a month. Unexpectedly, Henry not only did not starve to death, but also received a good wife and a bank interest of 30000 pounds.

I believe that money is not everything, but without it, it is impossible.

Today, I finished reading the work of American writer Mark Twain - "Million Pounds", which left me with a deep impression.

The main story of Million Pounds is that the author accidentally rowed into the open sea and was rescued by a boat. 48 hours after landing, he went hungry and went to the streets because he had no money, becoming a poor man. However, on the way, he received a check worth one million pounds and became wealthy overnight.

After reading this book, I couldnt help but think of a question: Will money be the standard for measuring everything? No. Money can buy a house, but not a warm home; Money can buy books, but not knowledge; Money can buy friends, but not precious friendships; Money can buy clocks, but it cannot buy time... Therefore, money is not everything, nor can it be used to do meaningless and conscientious things.

This reminds me of the current society where high school entrance exam outstanding students are being replaced under false names because the replacement person has a good family background and a very wealthy family. Therefore, they replaced the high school entrance exam outstanding students, and their identity, household registration, name, score... were all replaced. It was money that drove the impostor to do such a thing against his conscience.
