Dear Jack,
Thank you for your letter asking about our discussion on low carbon lifestyle. Here is something about it.
Everyone knows that we can do a lot of things in order to live a low-carbon life.
Firstly, we should save water and electricity. Secondly, we had better sort out rubbishes, which include recyclable and non-recyclable rubbishes. Thirdly, we could re-pick up our handkerchiefs, and use tissues as little as possible so we can stop more tress from cutting down. Last but not least, please try to walk if you have more free time, and ride bikes or take buses as often as possible.
Best wishes.

The Role of Governments in Encouraging Low-Carbon Living While individuals can make a significant impact by living low-carbon lifestyles, governments also have an important role to play in encouraging sustainable practices and reducing carbon emissions.
One way governments can encourage low-carbon living is by implementing policies that support renewable energy development and investment. This can include tax incentives for individuals and businesses that invest in solar panels or wind turbines, as well as subsidies for renewable energy companies.
Governments can also encourage low-carbon transportation options by investing in public transport, bike lanes and car sharing programs. They can also introduce policies that reduce the use of single-use plastics and encourage recycling.
Finally, governments can play a role in educating the public about the importance of living a low-carbon lifestyle, and providing incentives and resources to help individuals and businesses make the transition to more sustainable practices.
In conclusion, by taking a proactive role in encouraging low-carbon living, governments can make a significant impact on reducing carbon emissions and protecting the environment for future generations.
While living a low-carbon lifestyle is crucial for protecting the environment, there are many obstacles that can make it difficult to maintain these habits. These obstacles can include social pressure, lack of access to sustainable products and services, and a lack of understanding about the importance of living a low-carbon lifestyle.
One way to overcome these obstacles is by partnering with others who share our commitment to sustainability. Joining a low-carbon community or finding like-minded individuals can provide support and encouragement, making it easier to maintain sustainable habits.
Another way to overcome obstacles is by advocating for change on a broader level. This can include lobbying governments to introduce policies that support low-carbon living, or working with businesses to increase their focus on sustainability. By working together, we can overcome obstacles and create a more sustainable future.
In conclusion, while there are many obstacles to low-carbon living, we can overcome these challenges by finding support from others and advocating for change. By doing so, we can create a better future for ourselves and our planet.
The earth is our home, the mother of mankind, the cradle of life, had been tortured by the human was scarred. It is selfless to provide us with natural resources. So, protecting the earth is our bounden duty and responsibility.
Low carbon life, is our mother is the best way to return to the earth. On one occasion, I'm writing an article. But I think did not come up with a good story. A copy of the original manuscript paper be I tore up to only a few pages, at this moment, mom finds out, she reminded me: "my daughter, how do you develop such a bad habit of waste? Don't you know the paper is made of trees? If everyone is a waste of a piece of paper, and the country's 1.3 billion people means destroying the forest, the earth is fragile, we must carefully protect the earth, we humans can live on the earth!" Listen to the mother, I feel so ashamed. Save resources, we should start from these trivial things around: save water, save electricity... Since learned last lesson, I would never waste paper. And "good ability to learn a low-carbon life" : the water that clean out rice can be used to water the flowers, not only make more lush flowers and plants, also can save resources; Dish washing water can be used to mop the floor or flush the toilet...
Believe that everyone heard a word: if humans do not add abstemious waste of water resources, so the last drop of water in the world, will be the tear of human beings. Someone once did, as long as we are the Chinese save a drop of water, and that the country can save 45 tons of water. How amazing number! Associated with the motherland of the Yangtze river and the Yellow River, are made of a trickle of water together? Blue sky, white clouds, the mountains green trees and red flowers, birds singing, the fish in the water freely roam. What a harmony between man and nature landscape. Isn't that what people aspire to, look forward to?
From this moment, protect the earth, low carbon life. Let our homes more beautiful, more green!

Low carbon, environmental protection is refers to life work and rest of the energy consumption to reduce as far as possible, so as to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide. In our ordinary people low carbon is a kind of attitude, we should pay attention to the saving, fuel-efficient, solar terms, from the start bit by bit.
Over the years, with the deepening of industrialization, a large amount of carbon dioxide discharge, make the global temperature rise, climate change, it is indisputable fact. The world meteorological organization reported: nearly 10 years of 10 years is global warmest on record. In addition, global warming also makes the Antarctic ice began to melt, causing sea levels to rise, the use area of narrow, humans cannot survive, massive death of animals and plants.
Each piece of articles for daily use, big to small home appliances to toys, books and decoration, each items of the production cost of resources and energy, will bring carbon emissions, perhaps you abandoned things may be needed by others, no longer buy new articles for daily use, will naturally reduce the resources and energy, reducing carbon emissions.
The classmates, in order to "green" of the world, let us act, to cherish green, take good care of green, to create green give an own strength.

In recent years, the global warming gets increasingly attention. More and more people make contribution to stop the global warming. Therefore, a new lifestyle occurs--low carbon life. What can we do to live in low carbon?
First, remember to turn off lights and turn off the faucet when you do not need to use. Use the energy-saving lamps. There are many small things we can do to save resources. Second, when we go out, take public transport as much as possible, to reduce gas emissions and to ease the transporting pressures.
All in all, there are many other things we can do to live in the low carbon life. It needs us to do something practically. If everyone can keep this lifestyle from now on, it will greatly change the situation and our home would become more beautiful.
With the spread of the consciousness of environmental protection, the word “l(fā)ow-carbon” has been very popular in life. We can find it in many aspects, such as low-carbon products,low-carbon consumption, and low-carbon travel and so on. Generally speaking, more and more people are advocating “l(fā)ow-carbon” lifestyle.
As implied in the name,“l(fā)ow-carbon” lifestyle is a kind of new pattern of lifestyle which aims to lowering the carbon dioxide emission in living as much as possible. For example, some office workers are not proud of driving private cars from work to home any more but pride themselves on riding or taking public transportation. In addition, they advocate recycling water and saving energy as much as they can.
As college students,we also make some contribution in our daily life to reduce the emission of the carbon dioxide. For example, switch off the light when leaving and save water. In addition,we should use our knowledge and action to arouse others’ concern about the importance of lowering emission of carbon dioxide and lead them to lead a “l(fā)ow-carbon” life.
Each and every one of us is responsible for the greenhouse gases we emit in our daily actions and choices. Therefore, bating climate change is going to take the bined efforts of everyone on the planet.
The average household carbon footprint in China is 2.41 tons of carbon dioxide annually. That‘s enough to fill half an Olympic swimming pool.
Surprised? Well, here‘s how you can work to reduce it:
1.Get started by calculating your own carbon footprint. This will give you a starting point from which to begin monitoring your progress. You enter details such as what sort of apartment you live in,your personal energy use and travel habits.
2. Each week, choose one day when you don‘t eat meat. Meat uses up lots of energy because it takes a long time to produce. Animals produce methane, which is another dangerous greenhouse gas, when they burp and fart.
3. Only buy the amount of food you need and if there are leftovers, get creative. For instance, make them into a soup. Ask to take food home from restaurants if there‘s some left, but remember to take your own container to avoid using a disposable carton.
The earth is our warm home. We live in this beautiful home, so we should take good care of it. Now advocating low-carbon life is to make our earth more environmentally friendly and green without polluting the environment and wasting energy.
What is low carbon life? In short, low-carbon life is to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. We should save water and electricity in our daily life, walk more, drive less, go to the supermarket, use more environmental protection bags and so on.
In the past, as soon as I got home from school, I always had some snacks first, and then played for a while. I didn't turn on the light to do my homework until it was dark. When I finished my homework, I didn't turn off the light in time, which was always wasted in vain. Now, when I get home, I start to do my homework. As long as I finish my homework before dark, I can leave the light on. In this way, it not only saves electricity, but also achieves a low-carbon life.
I save not only electricity but also water. Every time I wash my hands and face, I will connect the water in a small basin, and then screw the faucet tightly for fear of letting the water "escape".
Now, I walk to school or near places every day, because walking more and taking less cars can not only save energy, but also exercise. It's really killing two birds with one stone!
Dear students, each of us should start from saving a drop of water, a kilowatt hour of electricity, and work together to establish a low-carbon and green lifestyle. As long as we all act together, we can certainly make our life more low-carbon and environmentally friendly.

Now the earth is in bad condition. For example, in some places, the air and water pollution is so serious that it causes many deaths.
At the same time, many animals and plants are in danger because of the destruction of their habitats.
Luckily, we human beings have realized the problem.
On April 22nd, millions of people across the world do something good for the earth. Some clean up beaches and water, some pick up rubbish, others give speeches to call on more people to take action.
But can we save the earth only by one day’s work? The future of our planet depends on our efforts. What we should do is to make every day Earth Day. Only by taking good care of it every day can we hope to live in harmony with nature.

Currently, my school is launching an activity whose theme is that actions change the world to advocate the low carbon living.
In the activity, we are required to go to school or some other place by bike or by foot as much as possible instead of by bus. And when the Christmas comes, sending e-greeting cards instead of traditional cards of which are made of wood as we know. Besides ,we should use both sides of every piece of paper and we should save water as well as electricity.
I believe that only we do thus can we have a better living environment.

Now everybody advocates the "low-carbon life", but the low carbon life is not a light lip service, should use the actual action to really do it. Everyone has his own way of life, to do low carbon life should have the consciousness of environmental protection in the first place. What is green?
Environmental protection, environmental protection as the name implies is to protect the environment. Can't afford to waste resources and save water, save electricity. Environmental protection is our primary school must be done. Open the lights for an hour every day, with a glass of water, less a month down much can save electricity, how much water! Since we go to school the teacher taught us to protect the environment, not spitting, cannot littering. Abundant resources are as good as once upon a time, many are turned into desert oasis. What all of the "greenhouse effect". To this, we more to low-carbon life to protect the environment.
What is the low-carbon life?
"Low-carbon life" (low carbonlife), is refers to life work and rest when try your best to reduce the energy consumption, thereby reducing carbon, especially carbon dioxide emissions, thus reducing the pollution of the atmosphere, slow ecological deteriorating, mainly from energy-saving solar terms and recovery of three links to change life details.
As the Chinese civilization and polite, courteous is to respect the rights of their own lives and at the same time, we also want to respect other people's life rights against infringement. Let's start from the trivial details, pay attention to energy saving, water saving, fuel-efficient, throttle, make low-carbon living a life attitude and philosophy of life. Set your strength, together to protect the earth mother.
Protecting environment starts from me, starts from the minor matter, starts from the campus, let us all to a low carbon life make the campus more beautiful!
Those of us resolving to lead a lower-carbon life in 20xx could do worse than acquire a copy of Prashant Vaze's new book, The Economical Environmentalist, in which the author picks over the fine details of his life. He works out how much CO2 he could save by driving more slowly, installing loft insulation or becoming a vegetarian. The result will be a little dense for some, but it is delightfully geeky and has the virtue of being right more often than not.
This virtue is underrated. Environmentalists have been slow to realise that the fashionable eco-lifestyle is riddled with contradictions. The one that particularly exasperates me is the “food miles” obsession, whereby we eschew tomatoes from Spain and roses flown in from Kenya, in favour of local products grown in a heated greenhouse with a far greater carbon footprint.
Other less-than-obvious truths are: that pork and chicken have substantially lower carbon footprints than beef and lamb (yes, even organic beef and lamb); that milk and cheese also have a substantial footprint; that dishwashers are typically more efficient than washing dishes by hand; and that eco-friendly washing powders may be distinctly eco-unfriendly because they tend to tempt people to use hotter washes.
My conclusion is that a well-meaning environmentalist will make counterproductive decisions several times a day. I don't blame the environmentalists: the problem is intrinsically complicated. Over a vegetarian curry in London recently, Vaze ruefully described to me the “six bloody months” he spent trying to research an eco-renovation of his home.
