china is rich in various energy resources. coal and petroleum, for instance, are two major ones. they are essential in developing the countrys industry, science and technology. china has done a great deal in the past few decades to raise its output of coal and petroleum.
three energy resources are being used up rapidly, with the building of four modernization, new industrial and science projects are springing up like bamboo shoots after rain. they are all big consumers of energy resources. besides there has been considerable waste in the utilization of these resources.
to avoid an energy crisis in the future, the government must take certain measures. first, it should let people know the importance of saving energy. second, efforts should be made to develop new energy resources, such as solar energy, geothermal energy and so on. we have reason to be optimistic in this respect.

Firstly, everyone has the right to survive. Our lives are given by our parents. Because of parents’ choice, we can go to this world to enjoy everything we own now. We should give our children this chance, too. We have no right to reject them to come to the world. Though the current life is not easy, we still have power to raise our children. We can’t be so selfish.

everyone suffers from an occasional(偶爾的) bad mood, but i am in a bad mood more often than other people. as a result, i have developed a list of helpful hints(示意,暗示) for dealing with depression(意氣消沉,沮喪). one thing i have learned to do is keep a mood diary. about four times a day, i jot(草草記下) down a one-word des cription of my mood at that moment---- sad, tired, frustrated, happy, and so on. then i ask myself questions like “ what event preceded(優(yōu)于?) this mood? have i just eaten a lot of junk(廢棄的舊物) food or drunk a lot of coffee? have i felt this way before?” after keeping this diary for a while, i have begun to see patterns(圖案) to my moods. ive found for eample that consuming(消費(fèi)的) a lot of salty foods like chips makes me feel tense. another mood-controlling hint(線索) that ive taken is to eercise every day. eercise seems to prevent depression, and it also helps me sleep better. any type of eercise works, including jogging,( 慢跑運(yùn)動(dòng)衣), dancing, and even walking around the block. i can also overcome depression by giving myself a small treat those times when my spirits are under the weather(under the weather不舒服)，for instance, i will go to a movie, listen to a record, or try on a new shirt. if i still feel miserable(痛苦的),i try to keep my chin up, for no bad mood lasts forever.
